On Aug. 29, 2019, Korean Supreme Court admitted illegal dispatch of toll collectors to Korea Highway Corporation.
On Sept. 9, Lee Kang-rae, president of the Korea Highway Corporation, held a press conference saying that the company will decide on the number of direct employees after confirming its intention to switch subsidiaries only to those who have won the Supreme Court ruling, not all of workers.
“It’s amazing that they want to be regular workers without making any extraordinary efforts to enter KHC. If they are hired even they don’t have any degree or qualification, THEY SHOULD BE GRATEFUL FOR THEIR STATUS!”
